Larry W. Boyles, MD
Dr. Boyles received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his neurology residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital and completed a two year electroencephalography fellowship at Duke University. Prior to founding the practice in 1980, Dr. Boyles served as an assistant Professor of Neurology at UNC Chapel Hill. Dr. Boyles is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. |

Allen O. Smith, MD
Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Illinois. He completed his neurology residency at Tulane University of Louisiana School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in neurology at The University of London, Institute of Neurology in Queens Square, London. Dr. Smith joined the practice in 1988. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, The American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, The American Board of Pain Medicine, and The American Board of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Smith serves as Medical Director of the Sleep Center at Frye Regional Medical Center. |

James A. Armstrong, MD
Dr. Armstrong received his medical degree from Yale Medical School. Before attending Yale, Dr. Armstrong was named one of the top ten medical students while earning his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He completed his neurology residency and a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders and a second fellowship in sleep disorders/electroencephalography at The University of Texas at Dallas: Southwestern Medical School. He is licensed by both the North Carolina and Texas state boards. Dr. Armstrong joined CNS in 2005 and is Board Certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Armstrong has participated in 6 publications and is fluent in both Spanish and French. |
